With Contextual Coach, Tara Palmer. In addition to music theory and technique, Artist House Members will spend lesson time working on a specific creative project, or Gemstone, tailored toward your artistic goals. Tara will act as head producer to facilitate and guide you through the many facets of the process. By the end of the session, you will have created something truly special to share with the world. (For musicians of all kinds, age 13+, limited spots available.)

    Examples: Record and release original music (final mixing and mastering fees may be required), perform a live solo showcase, write a song using recording software, film a music video, create a voiceover demo. . .

Membership Terms of service

TUITION & MAKING PAYMENTS

The House Membership program is designed as a session agreement. Payments are not based on the number of lessons in a month, but as session membership tuition installments. Via email, you will receive a PayPal invoice that can be paid through your preferred platform. The first tuition payment is due at the time of enrollment (by August 19th) as a deposit to reserve your spot. You may choose to pay for the session in full or in installments due on:

August 19th, October 1st, November 1st, and December 1st, 2024.

Reminder notices will be issued in the event that payment is late. Failure to pay by the 5th of the month will result in a $25.00 late fee. Delayed payments may result in the student's lessons being put on hold. 

CANCELLATIONS & MAKE-UPS

MEMBERS ARE OFFERED 2 MAKE-UPS PER SESSION, regardless of the reason for the missed lesson. Make-ups cannot be guaranteed, as booking is based on the coach’s availability. Prior notice is appreciated, but not required in order to receive a make-up. Refunds will not be issued for any reason— this includes but is not limited to sickness, schedule error, traffic, and negligence. In the event that the instructor cancels a lesson, you will be contacted to schedule a make-up. (This booking would not count toward your allotted 2 per session.)

All make-up lessons are to be scheduled at your convenience on the Book a Lesson page of the website. 

If you feel sick, do not plan to come to your lesson in person. An online lesson is always a safe option and the choice to come to an in-person lesson or to meet online is yours each week. Be thoughtful; be cautious! 

TERMINATING LESSON CONTRACT

House Membership enrollment is designed as a session agreement. Should the client decide to terminate the agreement before the conclusion of the contracted session, The Lesson House requires that half the outstanding tuition balance be paid in full.

EXPECTATIONS & PRACTICE

Students are expected to arrive in a timely manner and with all their required materials: binder/folder, practice logs, lyric sheets, method books and sheet music, pencil and water. Students should come prepared to show their progress and understanding of the week’s material. Developing healthy practice habits is crucial in musical growth. Parents, your participation in this is vital!

The Lesson House expects its students to put forth the effort and commitment necessary to show consistent growth and artistic development.
